This week's movie is Snow White and The Huntsman. I must say right off that it was an excellent movie even though Kristen Stewart was not the best choice for the part of Snow White. During the movie she showed little to know emotion, but when she did show some, it appeared as if she was in pain. Stewart has a reputation for being emotionless, or rather, it was like someone Xeroxed her while emotionless and permanently pasted it to her face. In parts where she should have been sad, she was expressionless. the times where she should have been happy she smiled and looked pained while doing it. From what i have heard about twilight, Stewart, in that saga, has trouble staying with one guy. I am sorry to say that problem appears in this movie as well. It seems she is confused on who to like. And, while confused, the same expressionless face rears up. Even though this movie takes a much darker twist on the Disney version of Snow White, that does not mean emotion can be thrown aside. The fact that she was chosen as Snow White was my only qualm with the movie. Looking past the choice for Snow White, the rest of the movie was incredible. Almost every actor was incredible. I don't believe there was any better choice for Queen Revenna than Charlize Theron. She executed her role perfectly. Her anger and hatred towards Snow White seemed so genuine and it was hard for me to remember that she was just acting. The huntsman, played by Chris Hemsworth, who is well known as Thor, played his role just as well. From drunken brawler who lost his wife, to protector of the fair Snow White his emotion and passion poured out. Some more aspects that made the movie incredible were the special effects. The first that caught my attention was the dark army that the king fought after his wife died. When each dark soldier was struck, the part he was struck disintegrated in such a way that it seems to be real. The people who worked on the special effects made it hard to detect them as that.  They appear genuine and seem like something that could happen in the real world. I don't want to go any further in the details because I don't want to give too much away.  Highly recommend this movie to anyone interested in a different kind of fantasy movie. A

  1. Very inspiring review. I am one to say that I do not like the acting ability of Kristen Stewart, and it appears that she did not do so well in this movie either. A great review of the overall movie and the lack of acting abilities of one of the worst actresses ever.

  2. I watched this movie a little while ago and my review would be much like yours, Evan. Kristen Stewart shows little to no emotion throughout the film but it is still thrilling and overall a great movie. Thank you for relating Stewart's lack of emotion in this movie to her acting in the Twilight movies.
I agree that the actress who played the Queen was phenomenal, and that the special effects of the movie were amazing. This movie is very good in spite of the fact the Kristen Stewart plays in it.
